The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said “the best of you are the best of you to their families; and I am the best of you to my family.” [Tirmidhi]
Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) also said:“the best of you are the best of you to women” [Hakim]
He (Peace Be Upon Him) would assist his family with housework [Bukhari]
Ibn Sa’d narrated that when Aisha (Peace Be Upon Her), the wife of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was asked about how the Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) was alone among his family, she responded by saying:
“He was the gentlest of people, smiling and laughing.”
By looking at the conduct of the Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) with his family students will learn the exalted manners and merciful nature of Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) towards his family. It will enable students to take these examples, apply them in their lives and therefore improve their characters of mercy and forgiveness.
