A 12-week course on Tajweed : The beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur'an

• Do you want to learn to recite the Qur'an properly, but don't know where to start?

• Do you want to re-learn how to recite the Holy Qur'an?

Synopsis:

We have been sent down to this earth with a purpose, which is to lead a righteous life according to Allah's commands. This cannot be acheived unless one knows about Him and His commands for us. Acquiring knowledge is therefore the foundation to achieving this purpose, hence why the first word of the Quran that Allah revealed was 'Iqra'.. (read in the name of your lord). Allah subhana wa ta'ala says im His book:

"...and recite the Qur'an with measured recitation"

(surah Muzzammil verse 4)

This course is designed to equip people to recognise and pronounce the words of Al-Qur'an correctly as has been soundly transmitted(mutawatir), insha Allah facilitating the the achievement of its full rewards and benefits.

The most fundamental and necessary aspects of Islam , those aspects which are obligatory upon us all.

to know, they include learning how to recite the Quran properly with rules (Tajweed), and ultimately strive to read the Holy Qur'an according the way the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam recited.

What this course covers?

• The history of the different ways of recitation
• The obligatory, both individual and communal, responsibilities of recitation
• The correct pronunciation of the arabic alphabets
• The pronunciation of letters with respect to adjacent letters
• The Fatiha and last 10 surahs of Juz Amma
